With everyone's combined efforts, we can reach the goal of building sound character in our youth!

Daywatch
Afterschool Safety & Enrichment

This supervised and structured program provides adult/youth interaction for working parents who are not available during the high risk hours of 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Pre-teens and young teens (11-14) are enrolled by their parents or guardians and a schedule is designed to fit their needs.

Our focus is to develop healthy habits, activities and interests; to assure after school safety; and to convey positive values, goals and promote a sense of personal mission (character).

Thoroughly screened and trained volunteers, including college students, retired teachers, senior citizens, etc., will provide supervision through home visits and at designated activity sites in this area.

Scheduled and unscheduled home visits will ensure that the youth is safe and is following the program set out by their parent or guardian (e.g. doing homework and/or daily chores, etc.).

Activities outside of the home may include cooperation from organizations such as:

YMCA, ASAP, Arts Council, Music Academy, Community Education, Boy/Girl Scouts (Explorers), etc.

Feel free to email  us with any questions or suggestions you may have.

The four major factors that contribute to problem behaviors for pre-teens and teens between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00 pm on weekdays:

Most stressful, volatile and
difficult years of experimentation,

Most unsupervised and vulnerable
time of the day for youth,

Need for firm and friendly structure
from respected adults,

Need for positive values education
and character-building.
